Slow game...quite a boring first half, second half was all bumbles for the Seahawks.
Was cool seeing the Stones do their show..highpoint of the show for me, as I was a huge HUGE Stones fan.
A couple of the Bud commercials were pretty decent....overall no showstopping tear jerking commercials though.

The game would have been a blow out by Seatle if it wasn't for 2 bad calls in the begining.

Sure....
That bonehead shove off is what killed them. He had a step on the defender and woulda caught the ball anyway....shove off and get the penalty.....GOOD CALL!!
That BIG Ben TD wouldn't have been had they not called it a TD on the field. They did not have enough evidence to overturn it and thats what the rules call for.
WHere are your bad calls? Both were by the book....
Anyway we were owed some points!

To error is human but piss off the wife and all that means nothing!
The Seahawks looked lost at the end of the half and at the end of the game and Stevens dropping all those passes didnt help much either. That said
The holding call against Seattle was BS. Even Madden's ancient arse could see that.
The illegal block call on Hasselback was horrible.

I'm happy that the Steelers won, of course. I only wish that the officiating was better. Bad calls went both ways, but what's new. Most people will dwell on the calls against the Seahawks since they lost. I saw 2 fumbles after pass catches that would've given the ball to the Steelers with great field position. Either way, it's history now.

Not in this order, but:
1. The officiating sucked last night, and has for years.
2. Regardless of the bad calls that hurt Seattle, no one will mention or remember the 2 fumbles by Seattle that were incorrectly ruled as incomplete passes.
3. It's all history now, what's done is done...
4. Steelers Win, I'm happy!

OK, no problem. I thought that maybe I wasn't being clear. Yeah, I was having a problem posting, "Pittsburgh Steelers" in black and gold. The post preview was showing different colors than what I set and then it actually posted something else. I wanted to edit it, but the option was to manually write in the code to make each letter a different color. I wasn't going there, not worth it. I ended up back clicking to the, Reply to Thread page and editing it there until I got it right. Problem was, it took me 4 tries, but I got 3 cheap credits to my post count so, I guess it was worth it.

As a Steelers fan, I was a bit iffy on the TD call. It's a tough call to make on the field, and tough to overturn. Had it not been called a TD, then it would've been equally as tough to overturn in a review. Looking at this picture, it does look like the tip off the ball could've crossed the plane of the goal line. Remember, all the ball has to do is cross the beginning of the chalk line. It does not have to cross the entire 3-5 inch width of the chalk line.

One was when Stevens caught the ball cleanly in both hands, tucked the ball into his right arm and then turned to run up field. He was then hit and the ball popped out with 2 Steelers ready to pick it up, but the whistle was blown. The rules state that you first have to have possession and then make a, "football move" for it to be ruled a complete catch and then fumble.
1. Stevens caught the ball cleanly in both hands = possession established
2. Stevens tucked the ball into his right arm and turned upfield = take your pick, I saw 2 football moves there.
The other fumble I don't remember well enough to explain. I do remember it looking like a fumble to me although not as obvious as the one I described above.

Good picture pretty much shows that he was over the line. not to mention when he was in the air prior to being hit he was farther.....
I still wish it woulda been 4 and inches and let Bettis put one in!
