Who Will Win The Super Bowl ???
Bettis, Alexander, Pittsburgh's Defense, Mike Holmgren's Coaching... I think this one will be alot better than you think !!!

Yeah I can't figure out that point spread either.knightmare wrote:Current Point Spread has Pittsburgh -4,

Sure the Steelers have a top rated defense but so do the Hawks. #1 in sacks.
I'd give the Steelers the pick in better quarterbacks but hey..the Hawks put up a lot of points too...
I think it has to do with the fact Seatle has never won the big game. I'm still going with Seatle, if the coaching is up to par we will have a great game.downhill wrote:Yeah I can't figure out that point spread either.

Pittsburgh is gonna win it! Bettis will have his ring, i see him with 2 TD's and probobly another 2 thrown by Big Ben. 28-20 Pittsburgh.
How are you gonna say a 16th rated D is gonna be able to hold thier own versus 4th rated that has been playing better than their 1st rated of a year prior....

I often wonder if the voices in my head ever get frustrated because I'm just too damn lazy to climb that clock tower.

The Seahawks have one of the best Offensive lines ever in football. Im talking the down linemen sans the RT. I dont know much about him but I haven't heard much either and thats a good thing. They have one of the best QB's in the league. Their defense is on par or slightly better than Pittsburghs. They have the best running back in the league. Looks like a no brainer to me. Seattle.
Pittsburgh is vulnerable to the delay and play action because the blitz so much. Those are two of Holmgrens staples. He goes to those again and again and again. Big advantage Seabirds. You can rattle Pig Ben with pressure and Seattle is the best. Yes I know the take that ben throws better on the run blah blah blah. Over the last 3 games he's been a drop back passer and Seattle should take advantage and make his throw mistakes. Willie Parker has hit the wall. Unless this two weeks has rejuvinated him he will be a non factor. If Pittsburgh plans on letting it fly like they have their last three games they are in trouble. They better keep trying to run the ball or they will get blown out.

According to opponent records, Seattle had the easiest schedule this season. Guess who was #2?
---team-sched.-opp. record
1. SEA---.430-----110-146
2. CAR---.449-----115-141
---TB
4. CHI---.457-----117-139
---IND
---MIA
7. JAX---.465-----119-137
All other teams had opp. record of at least 122 wins.
11. PIT---.492-----126-130
-----NYG
-----ATL
5 toughest schedules:
32. SD-----.559-----143-113
31. DEN---.539-----138-118
-----OAK
-----SF
28. HOU---.535-----137-119
The NFC Championship Game featured 2 teams that had the weakest regular season schedules in the NFL. The Seahawks won, at home mind you, but Carolina was down to their 4th string running back in the game and this rendered their offense as one dimensional. The AFC Championship Game featured the Steelers, who were tied at 11 and the Broncos who were tied for the 2nd toughest schedule. As we all know, the Steelers shocked the Broncos at Mile High. Based these stats, momentum and a few other things, I think the Steelers should win this game. Realistically, I know that the outcome could go either way.

Interesting Facts---
The Steelers logo is a symbol of 3 hypocycloids that represent the elements used in making steel. The team is the only one in the NFL to have their logo on only one side of their helmet - the right side.
While there is no such bird as a Seahawk, some say the team's logo resembles the mythical thunderbird of the Makah tribe on the Olympic Peninsula and other tribes along the west coast of the U.S. and British Columbia.
Black Sunday?
Detroit is the home of the largest Muslim community in the USA on a per capita basis at least.

Hehehe my theory is that the "officials" still owe us @ least 7 points from the colts game!
