If they can shut down the running game like the last meet and.......if Seattle's recievers keep dropping the ball, then yes, Washington stands a chance of beating them or at least, making it an interesting game.

Fat chance. :D

No 'skins fans on the board this morning?

I'm not surprised. They're probably sleeping off last nights Michelob binge. By the time they wake up and wash their mullets, it'll be half-time.

losing the MVP isn't a good thing considering they will need that player for the next game.... Both teams played well.. a NFC team should win the super bowl no matter who.

LOL are you serious? Any of the top 4 AFC could beat the TOP 1 NFC. I think seatle will represent the NFC in the s/b but it would take a serious flop of an afc team for them to win it!

I am so SICK of New England I can't stand it .... I don't wanna hear anything else about 'em, and I don't wanna see any more friggin' credit card commercials !!!!!

I did think it was funny at the beginning of the game how every time Brady got touched he wanted a flag, and every time a receiver didn't catch a pass they wanted a flag ... :D

Well the Seahawks won because my Redskins' offense didn't show up again. I don't see the Seahawks going to the SuperBowl though, they just don't have a good enough team, I admit the Redskins really weren't good enough to go because of the offense, but I will always root for them, I have been a fan my entire life, a HUGE fan. The Seahawks are a good team, not a great team and had a pretty easy schedule this year. Never the less, congrats on the win, you guys did play a better game.

Dissapointing, but not entirely unexpected. The way I figure it, Redskins now have a truly solid defense and a pretty good offense. They have the running game covered between Betts and Portis. What they really need is to add another good WR to take some of the pressure off Randy Moss and to open up more opportunities, and they need a middle career QB to step in and take over for Brunell. He did well for a big part of the season, but he simply ran out of gas at the end. He needs to go back to being a back-up and bring in a QB who can throw and occaisionally scramble with some experience. I hate the Redskins having to put training wheels on their QB.

If they can put that together, I think they're good enough to go to the NFC championship next year.

Exactly...... except it's Santana Moss. ;) I would like to see them go with Ramsey or Campbell, they are both young a might need "training wheels" for a bit but one of them will be the future QB for the Skins. And your 100% right about another good receiver, Cooley is a great short go to guy but we need another good one like Moss to take the pressure off of Moss, with a QB and a strong arm and another receiver we would go from a good team to a great team.

True, they need to beef it up a bit, but when they are all healthy they are pretty good. The won 6 straight games and a lot of them were playing with injuries. Plus the fact that Brunell isn't very mobile makes them look worse. I try and be honest when discussing the Redskins even though I'm a fan. With a QB that has a stronger arm and quicker release (as Brunell did early in the season) the O line does a fine job and a good passing game opens things up for Portis to run.

Disagree. Brunell was rarely as hurried as many of his counterparts facing the Skins defense (by comparison). The problem was the recievers frequently couldn't break free because there weren't enough of them to force man to man. He had plenty of time to scan, scan, scan and THEN decide to run. There is always room for improvement, and you wish to have a line that can hold for days if need be. Thing is though, how many tipped balls did he have? How many hurry ups? How many sacks within five seconds?

The answer is, not many at all. He did get sacked, but almost always out of the pocket, while he was scrambling trying to make something out of nothing.

Oh, and mnosteele52, of course you're right. Dunno why I said Randy instead of Santana. :)
