is it possible to install a game and not have to use a disk to play it. i find it a strain to find the disk in all my other stuff in the computer room

It is possible, there are some sites that have edited "No-CD" .EXE files for games.. This is of course assuming you have a legal copy of the game. http://gamecopyworld.com/
However...these sites are beginning to cross over to questionable legality, I've read about some EXE downloads having trojans in them, some of these sites crossover to other "serial crack" sites to distribute games via P2P warez, and you'll probably want to use a safe web browser at these sites since they're known for forcing drive by adware installs on your system.
