Update Good/Bad

Well my father got all the skin cancer removed (hopefully) They expected the surgery to be about an hour. Well it turned out to be about 12 hours. The skin cancer had grown from his forhead all the way back half way down his skull. The had to cut a football shaped peice out of his skull and take out more cancer. He might have a little deformity, but they aren't sure.

They actually had to give him a face lift pulling the skin upward towards his skull to lesson the amount of scaring and damage. He has one eyebrow that is higher then the ohter. They said it might fall back in to place and it might not.

After the surgery they had to bring in a team of plastic surgens to fix him up. As of now he has a drainage tube in his forhead. My pop is so strong man that when you ask him if he is in pain he says no. But we can tell he is hurting. I have to go pick him up today sometime. Man i have been missing alot of work becuase of all his surgerys, but you know what who cares about work. I need to be there for my dad and mother.

So this is the update and keep them prayers coming eh!

I haven't posted in the other threads, but I know how you feels. My dad is my hero and see him every day with alzheimers gets hard. you guys are in my thoughts

Man that is sad...alzheimers is one of the worst way to go.

Well dude...on a positive note, more then likely if this had happened several years ago your dad might not have been around after all this. Medicine, treatments and technology have changed a lot. Hes in good hands, maybe in a little pain but it will go away soon. Give him my best wishes for a speedy recovery.

Cisco sorry to hear about your Dad, and I hope they find something for that soon. One of the reasons why I fold. One of these days they will find something to help and hopefully it will be soon.
