I am searching a flight I need to do in 2 weeks (NE folks, let's gather!).

Columbus, OH --> Detroit, MI --> Providence, RI = $168

Detroit, MI ---> Providence, RI = $1153

Can someone explain this bull**** to me?

I've often wondered that myself. The best I can come up with is the fact that it's less convenient (less desireable) and know people will be a lot more willing to pay more if they don't have to sit around the airport all day. They are probably trying to force people to take connecting flights to save fuel by taking connecting flights instead of long distant point to point flights.

I don't know man, its messed up.
