running F@H without an internet conection

Post by Mark »

i built up a rig from spare parts and can not get the nic to work, not sure if it is a bad cable or what, so i searched on the folding at home forums for another way and found this.

seems to work as i got folding running now on that box, just have to wait and see if i can transfer the finished work to my main PC and get it uploaded.

i thought this maybe usefull for anyone else who doesn't have enough internet conections or whatever.

I do it all the time, with all the work done onto a thumb drive, then put on another computer (that has Internet). I'll have to check out the link to see how they say to do it.
