Comcast CAble

Post by icenfire2u »

I just had comcast cable installed on sunday. I have a rca dcm315 cable modem and a net gear router. I have been unable to stay connected for any period of time and the only way to get back on line is too unhook all wires from the modem and hook them back up and reboot the computer. We also have digital cable monday a technician came out and replaced the old wiring because he said it was too old for digital. Was hoping this would help the internet but it didn't. A technician is coming out on friday but I would like to know if anyone has any ideas before then :)

I had trouble with comcast dropping speeds and simply went to the box at the street and began tightening all of the connections to the house and eventually the cable modem.

It solved the problem.

But as 'Yards' just mentioned...it could be ANYthing.
