Installing GTA:SA

Post by Joe »

Im curious how the PC version compares to its console counterparts. I also hope to see a face lift from the same old game engine used in the prior two GTA games.

tbh ive been a little dissapointed so far..

Ill take some screenshots later and post em.

Ive had fun with the game, but ive found somethings a little wierd...

Firstly I seemed to think all the cars handled awfully compared to VC, but I suppose this was down to my characters driving skill being low.

I quite like the way you get better at things.. But driving seems to take a long time to increase, while weapon skills seemed to go up pretty quickly. HITMAN level reached with atleast one gun in each class atm.

Not sure about the engine. It looks similar, If anything its just a tweaked version as expected with another title in the series atm. It has some nice new things, swimming and climbing walls can be fun hehe. Also little extras like cars actually looking as though they are falling apart, bumpers wobbling etc...

The new rain efects are nice, and the windy / sandy effects are nice, but make driving at high speed a bit of a nightmare.

Im currently running in 1024x768. My PC struggles a little at times, normally if im on top of a mountain and its having to render the long draw distances, but at the mo it hasnt been bad enough to warrant turning down the dd.

THe game is good, with nice new features, im not a big fan of the whole hip hop homeboy thing, so this could be a reason im finding it hard to get into...

Still, stay of ma' turf mofo! o' i'll pop a cap in yo ass!

:D

Nope just Freak. He probably had 10 or 12 Red Bulls for breakfast and 6 cups of coffee for lunch.
