BF2 and Resolution

Post by Jonty »

Great game and runs very well, although one thing that is getting me going is the inability to run the game in 1280 x 1024.

Currently running in 1024 x 768 @ 85Hz with everything set to max and it runs very very smooth, would just like to play it in 1280 x 1024.

Have any of you guys figured out if you can change any config files?

You can do the video.con file edit...same as bf'42/bf:V, or do the shortcut edit that UOD found:

"C:\Program Files\EA Games\Battlefield 2 Demo\BF2.exe" +menu 1 +fullscreen 1 +szx 1280 +szy 1024

My new 24" Wide lcd can go to 1920x1200 I'm curious if BF2 will support that much. But only for the game.. I want to keep my fonts large enough on the screen for windows so I don't have to kiss it to read anything.

I'm sure it will.

it runs at 1650x1050 on my 2005fpw.

I know that bfv will run at 1920x1200 on my laptop.
