I went hiking, and saw that and thought WTF someone left a steamer on the path. A closer look made me think it was a shroom of some kind :confused:

It looks like a mutated shroom, yet if you didnt see a stem you would swear it was an animal brain eh? Weird stuff.

I don't see a stem just a slug crawling on it..glad I already ate..YUCK!! It looks like a brain to me all dried out. :eek:

Almost looks like a morel....

That's what I was thinking....

It' looks like two of them. They are not as bright brown in this neck of the woods and there isn't any stem. Maybe they are just getting started as morel's can get quite large.
