Multiple Port Forwarding in Windows

Post by beezm »

I currently use ICS to share my cable connection. I have a Windows XP Professional computer that the cable comes into, then goes to a switch, then to the rest of the computers on the network.

My problem is that I have to forward a very large number of ports to a computer on my network, around 1,000 or so. I currently just use XP's firewall settings to just forward ports because usually I only have to forward a few.

I need a way to forward a range of ports on a Windows machine. A program, anything. I have found a few programs that do forward ports, but you have to add them one by one, just like it is built into XP.

Thanks,
Stewart

Most professional Firewall will let you open range of ports. You have to choose carefully since some might not work with ICS.

A better solution is a Cable/DSL Router and on sale it is less expensive then pro software Firewall.
