Talk about pressure. You're working on the leader of Christianity on Earth. If you mess up, it's surely an express ticket to, well, you know. :D

Hi ghost

Pressure Job to be sure. There are those that look after the Health of many powerful Men & Women where a wrong decision could have enormous consequences in many shapes and forms.

Self confidence is key here i assume.

He is far more than just another Priest. Like any Organization He has worked His way through and elevated Himself at many levels not unlike the Army.

He was finally chosen by His peers to hold the position of Pope. This means He is the Holy Father of the Church and its Followers.

In His own heart i'm sure He does consider Himself just a Priest and a Servant of the People.

I for one though would not like to argue this matter with His Boss :D

Point taken, i believe it was the way the Bishop or whoever was talking that gave met he chills. He almost made it sound like "holy father" as when they are talking of God.....i guess you kinda had to see it.... :)

Hi JBKM
He almost made it sound like "holy father" as when they are talking of God

Don't overlook the fact that He is Gods representative here on earth.

He is responsible for all decisions regarding the Catholic Faith and Gods teachings as they relate to everyday life and the guardianship of the Catholic Church.

In effect Gods CEO here. :)

I just used the Pope as an example, but think about how many important leaders there are on Earth and like minir said, the consequences should something go wrong or someone make a mistake in judgment.
