is it good to clear the cache

hello everybody
i have a question
i have 512/k cable
is it good to clear the cache from time to time or not
because when i surf the hd makes a lot of noise

I have mines set so that it clears the cache everytime I exit IE 5.5. But some people leave it there and then delete it at the end of the day. It's really up to you. I clear my history only once a day. Before I go to bed I check my history folder and save the sites that I wanna go back to, but just didn't have the time, or just forgot to bookmark. Since you have a slow connection, go ahead and save it, but set a low limit on the TIFF so that it won't chew up too much of your HD.

How do you set the browser to delete the cache after closing it? I saw it somewhere but forgot how?

rt clck IE on the Destkop - Properties, Advanced tab, scroll down to Security and chck Empty Temporary Internet Files folder when browser is closed
