Arctic Cooling VGA Silencer Rev. 3 for 9600XT Overclocking.

Post by ze2o »

I was wondering if this would be a suitable vga cooling system for overclocking a 9600xt? I have a ASUS Radeon 9600XT and ive managed to overclocking the Core from 500MHz to 600MHz and Memory from 300MHz - 350MHz on the stock cooling without a problem. Please post your recommendations on cooling and software to monitor vga temperature. Thank you in advanced :)

Our member Chris here loves his version, said it dropped his temps a ton. Based on that, i'd say go for it.

I'm going to be getting one of these and some OCZ alluminum RAM sinks for my video card.

I'm also going to get a new HSF for my CPU. More overclocking!!! :p

Well awsome, I ordered the product, and I read that it includes its own thermal compound. Would you recommend using that compound or would it be okay if I used my Arctic Silver 3, note that I also intend to overclock.
