tweaking surfboard SB3100 cable modem

Hello, I have @home and i have gotten the speedguide tweak and webpage tweak from the site

is there anythingy else i can do to make my connection faster?

My downloads arent very consistent, i can get from 50k a sec to 200k a sec.

plz help

No I am afraid there is nothing you can do to help YOUR speed but if you dropped your cable and went with DSL you would help MY speed!!

I just got @home on 10/3/00. i downloaded a free tweak at http://download.cnet.com/downloads/0-10062-100-1433245.html?tag=st.dl.10001_103_1.lst.td_1433245. before installing, i checked my connection speed, and it was around 560 kbps. after installing this free tweak, and rebooting, my connection went up to 1200 kbps. Also, if you want faster downloads, i suggest trying "download accelerator" found at: http://download.cnet.com/downloads/0-10062-100-2398651.html?tag=st.dl.10001_103_1.lst.td_2398651. this is a free file and speeds up your downloads by around 300%!!!

on normal downloads, i get around 50 KB/sec. when using this program, it goes up to around 150 KB/sec.
