What do you think. Does everybody have at least one addiction? Caffeine, nicotine, sex, porn, religion, etc...

Did you ever notice that when a person drops one addiction, they usually pic up another at the same time. Like alcohol for religion, etc...

rofl not to start a debate here but i'm suprised you put religon as an addiction i'm not going to debate it i think some psychologist do think that it is in ocd, however though most 12 steps groups use a higher power to relvie burden of work/life/blah blah that could be why they do that.

I have read a bit on additive personalities. Addiction itself, is a large part inherited. Not necessarily the same addiction, just the ability to become addicted easier...

genetics do play a part it's not all in all cases

intreasting threoy on why the irish drink irealand is ususally bad rainy weather people over the centuries drank to self medicate the depression that trait or gene got passed down the line. However there is still behvaior of picking up the drink or whatever the case maybe.

Some people as far as excersie and religon is concearn pick the lesser of the two evils.

I can't speak for others, but I don't think there are any peeps out there who can point the finger of guilt at someone else until they got rid of their addiction.

No one is perfect. But, here's the kicker. What if you are addicted to something that is totally P.C. Does that make your addiction a good thing?

I am addicted to nicotine, but I don't smoke. I have an obsessive/compulsive personality to a degree. I thinks we the ones that get addicted easiest. Very intense pleasure centers, I guess. Mmmmm, I could sure go for a cigarette right now, and I haven't smoked for about fifteen years. :(

Addictions?

Knowledge. Love. Healing (others). Computers. Teddy bears. Manipulation. Sarcasm.

Off the top of my head.
So trade that typical for something colorful, and if it's crazy live a little crazy!

i think everyones addicted to anything that gives off the feel good chemicals in ur brain, thats why to an extent your going to find everyones addicted to sex.. same reason why a lot of experts claim that once u take cocaine once, ur brain is addicted to it because u always want to feel it again.

now some of those weird ones i cant explain, but for the most part addiction is all biology.

Of course, I didn't mention my BIG addictions, breathing, water and food.

I get in a real bad mood without those three on a regular basis. :irate:

Red Vines
The tools of conquest do not necessarily come with bombs and explosions and fallout. There are weapons that are simply thoughts, attitudes, and prejudices to be found only in the minds of men. For the record, prejudices can kill and suspicion can destroy and a thoughtless, frightened search for a scapegoat has a fallout all of its own for the children and the children yet unborn and the pity of it is that these things cannot be confined to the Twilight Zone.
