This just isn't going to have the same impact as writing a MS Virus. Face it, whats the total damage gonna be, 2 or 3 machines?

Intego just wanted to get some attention so people would buy their virus software.

Hell, what good is a virus company if there are no viruses/people buying it?

Oh by the way, this virus depends on the resource forks of an archive, so unless your <sarcasm> supersmart </sarcasm> and find the need to download zips of mp3's from filesharing networks, there is no problem at all.

I really dont think so man, as not being bothered by crashes or stupid problems really is something that people like. Hell, that's what made me switch.

Yeah, see, that's hat happened to me with 2k, i had no crashes, or anything, but then all of these stupid problems started to come up over time, like, add/remove programs would just stop working (happened on my xp machine too). And the thing is, in order to have that fast and fresh feeling, you had to format, your performance would drop after a while, even if you defragmented etc. Then there were just random stupid problems with apps needing reinstalls because windows decided it didn't like them anymore, or problems with spyware, security, viruses etc.

I then decided to use my dad's laptop a bit more (powerbook g4), with jaguar (later upgraded to panther), and it was just like 'wow.' After using os x for a while i can't go back to anything else, it's just so... nice.
