and how do you think the general public would react?

The suits in Washington DC would probably never let anyone know for fear of panic.

But if they did do you really think people would panic?

IMO I don't think people would panic. Maybe in the 50's or 60's, but now-a-days I really don't think we'd panic.

I think a small percentage would...remember how some people were all worked up when the years switched from 1999 to 2000.

Extremists from islamic and christian groups, plus a number of PETA operatives would unite and blow it out of the sky. Raining down on earth would be millions of pieces of debris, including millions of little notes 'we're vegetarian hindus, please don't hurt us'.

If they were good aliens, the Democrats would take credit. If they weren't they would blame the Bush administration for keeping secrets from the public.
