Well, Thursday I have an interview, more like an audition really, at a little PC company here in town that does PC/Mac troubleshooting and repair. Its a part-time job that would go nicely with my current part-time job doing network support and system admin for my friends company.
Basically the guy wants me to come on down and meet him, then actually do some work on the bench, probably just swapping out some parts or someting like that, I'm not really sure. But the money is decent to start ($15-$18/hr) and he says that he will pay for certs. and that there is room for growth.
Wish me luck and to you currently employed techs, throw me some advice!!!!!!

Thanks guys!
It shouldn't be a problem, I just haven't really been on an interview in about 5 years or so, and never one for a tech job, so I'm just a bit nervous.

Well at 15-18 an hour, in San Francisco, working 50 hours a week should about pay for living expenses eh?
Congrats, and wear your clean T-shirt
Not quite!
Fortunately my GF has a good job and is willing to put up with me doing this whole "career change" thing.
