Gay Marriage Issue In San Fran.......

Post by Prey521 »

Was watching the news and they're talkin about this whole thing that the Mayor of SF is doing, allowing gays to go to city hall and get a marriage license, even though it is illegal in the state of California, and is therefore a null and void contract. My question is, why would the gay people even bother going to city hall and get the license of it is invalid in the first place? They're wasting their times IMO.

Feb 6/2004

Underscoring its original ruling last November, Massachusetts' highest court said Wednesday that only full marriage rights for gay couples, not civil unions, would conform to the state's constitution.

The ruling sets the stage for Massachusetts later this year to likely become the first state in the nation to allow same-sex marriages.

Not Yet....They're trying awful hard though to get the legal aspect recognized........ :) Spice

The fact that they have a marriage licence and certificate, be it recognized by other cities couts or not, is a starting point in. It sets a precedent, and gives ground to those who chose to fight for thier right to get married, regardless of thier sexual orientation.
I just drove past city hall about an hour and a half ago, and there was a line around the block, about 500 or 600 people llined up waiting to get married (on Sunday no less).
Just because certain groups don't think it is "right" others should not be denied the right to publicly profess thier love and recieve the legal benefits that others do just because of thier sexual orientation, IMHO.

Its been quite a big thing here this week, and literally thousands of couples have come in and been married over the last 4 days.

No matter what a person's race, religion or sexual orientation is, I think they should be able to enter into a life-time bond that confirms thier love for each other. It's not my place to impose my beliefs on another person, so long as what they do does not try to harm me or family, or take away some property of mine, more power to them. This whole issue of not letting people who love each other, confirm thier love is BS.

I've said this before and this guy thinks the same way I do.
The "gift" of marriage is FROM God, and God only. Therefore, we do NOT need the state's permission to marry. A "License" gives you the right to do something, that without it, you would be doing something illegal. Since when was marriage, a God-ordained institution, illegal? You have a "right" to get married, without a license (the state's permission).
And nobody seems to know why we had to get a marriage license in the first place, (I've tried to tell y'all this before)
Marriage licenses for all citizens is fairly new. It began in the 1800's, when citizens which wanted an interracial marriage had to petition to the government for permission. You see, back then blacks were not considered human! The Supreme Court ruled in 1860 that blacks were NOT human. They were viewed as animals (can you believe that!) However, marriages between two white people, or two black people, or two Chinese, did NOT need licenses. They still don't, but the government is happy to allow you (in your ignorance) to keep paying them revenue.
Also by law, you DO NOT have to get a marriage license, you can get married without a license, and if the state tries to force you to get one, you can sue the crap out of them. I know somebody who did this, and that's why I know this little bit of info about Marriage licenses.

Still, you did get an "A" in English. (j/k) :)
I want to learn more and more to see as beautiful what is necessary in things; then I shall be one of those who make things beautiful. Amor fati: let that be my love henceforth! I do not want to wage war against what is ugly. I do not want to accuse; I do not even want to accuse those who accuse. Looking away shall be my only negation. And all in all and on the whole: some day I wish to be only a Yes-sayer.

Does this lesson have a second verse regarding oral sex?

I sure as hell hope my wife doesn't find out that it's wrong too...

ah but see, I didn't mention the bible in this thread ;)

i simply said man and women can create a baby, a man and a man cannot, or a women and a women cannot

our civilization, our world, is populated by the sexual intercourse of a man and a women

even if you don't believe in the bible, one can see how nature designed this process to happen so that humans will live on for as long as we are makin babys

mr. peepee goes into other things = wonderful feeling

It's not always about having a baby.
People will forget what you said... and people will forget what you did... but people will never forget how you made them feel.
