In car free preview for Daytona 500...

Post by Indy »

For those of you that have digital cable and access to the NASCAR in-car pay-per-view, they are having a free all access pass this sunday for the Daytona 500. Gives you access to 7 different cars simultaneously...looks to be very cool...

That's pretty slick...I wonder if Directv will offer it? Off to DTV's site to find out. :)

No digital cable here :(

Adelphia offers it. I just see no need to pay the extra $10 or whatever a month for it. Only 2 channels I'd watch in the package. Discover Wings, and ESPN News
Respect it.

I've been toying with the idea of going to the 500 again this year...I definitely plan on going to the brickyard...and the US Grand Prix is in June this year, instead of September...I've never been to an F1 race, so that'd be pretty cool to go to as well..

If you guys want to get together for the race, let me know...my mom lives less than 3 miles from the track :D

A video I took while driving up Georgetown road next to the speedway, just to put into perspective how big the place is...

(Video is 15.6 meg)

My wife and I usually go to brickyard 400 for last few years anyway. We usually get tickets from her work or from her old boss who we are still friends with. We usually sit in Penthouse paddock overlooking start/finish line.

I'd be up for a SG breakfast/tailgate meeting before the race, I wouldn't mind sitting with everyone but we don't pay for our seats and therefore don't really have control over where they are.

Before they reconfigured the track for the F1 Grand Prix race a few years back, they had a nine-hole golf course in the infield...
