How does this look for a budget PC..

Image

Video Card will be replaced with a 9600XT for roughly the same price

Saphire any good?..

HDD will be replaced with a Seagate 120gig 8mb Cache $100
so +$30

we might drop the floppy and the modem..

Looks good...yeah, dial up modem?

Sapphire is good...my 9800p is a Sapphire. Matter of fact...the majority of ATI Retail cards sold in the US market are made by Sapphire. So I always laugh out loud at those who say "Don't buy a Sapphire...they suck, instead purchase right from ATI direct...they're better"

 again

Great mobo
Best bang for buck CPU out there today
Great power supply

damn, that's a BUDGET system?

perfect in my opinion. That's pretty close to my setup, except for the hard drives and I'm running a AIW. yo might want to check out the aiw because the price difference is pretty small considering what you're getting.

Looks good to me. About the best you can get for sub $1k with the exception of waiting for the next Dell rebate deal.

I want to learn more and more to see as beautiful what is necessary in things; then I shall be one of those who make things beautiful. Amor fati: let that be my love henceforth! I do not want to wage war against what is ugly. I do not want to accuse; I do not even want to accuse those who accuse. Looking away shall be my only negation. And all in all and on the whole: some day I wish to be only a Yes-sayer.
