Albert Pujols wins today's WTF award. Talking recently about the need for a new contract he said the following.
"What do you mean?" Pujols said Sunday at the team's annual winter fanfest. "This is business. There's no break here."
Later in the same conversation he follows it up by saying ""I've been getting ready working out, and I'm not even thinking about it," Pujols said. "It doesn't matter how much money I'm going to make, the money is not going to change the way I play the game."
I think what he means is he won't let the pressure of the money on the line affect how he plays. When you're in a competition its usually just best to forget about that stuff and just play as you always do.
Im hoping that is what he means because it sounds like he was saying it was important and then later saying it wasn't. You tend to hear that alot from baseball players so I figured he was another one.
