How can i COMPLETELY reset my cable connection?

Post by NICK »

I screwed around with many settings, and nothing is connecting, things like IRC and Kazaa. It says I am not connected to the internet, or I have a proxy up.

1. I am connected, I Don't have a proxy.

So can someone tell me a way to get my internet connection like it was when i FIRST got it? Rogers cable, and I don't have a reset button on my Terayon cable modem i don;'t think.

You proubly need to post what you change in your settings. In order for anyone to be able to help you. They will need this information. I am not familar with Rogers cable. but I am sure someone here is. Goodluck!

you might try simply disconnecting power to the modem, then reconnecting it...

dspady may be right. Check and see if you still have your IP address. If not do as dspady suggested.. Power down your modem . Wait a couple mins. Then repower it back up. If this does not work. You may try and remeber wich settings you changed and post them if possible. This will make it easier to help you out.
