customize mss

anyone knows how to customize mss in windows 2000 not to use default which is mtu-40?

Use cablenut.

but why would you want to mess with the MSS, it should be MTU-40 since the TCP/IP header is generally 40 bytes.

I've run cablenut's adjuster.exe but still can not find way to change mss.

it should tcp send and recive segment size sorry about that.

Your MSS is automatically 40 less than your MTU, there is no setting for it.
