Need some help with my D-Link 604 router

Post by xboxnoob »

Well - i recently upgraded to a 2 mbit dsl line.
Great!!

Problem.
If i put my ethernet cable directly in my computer (it has a Intel built in network adapter) - i get my 220 speed from isp test ftp.
When i use my D-Link 604 - i get max 30-40 in speed. and it seems a bit sluggish in the download.
I tried to enable DMZ (No Firewall) - but still no go.

Mu isp is assiging me dynamic ip adress - so dhcp is on - but it have never given me a problem before.

What am i doing wrong ?

B.T.W.
My network is setup as - this computer connects to the internet through a hub on the line - bla bla bla..

To be more specific - im running XP pro as a OS.
I try to change mtu and pack sice - nada helps

Please help me out a bit

try getting the latest firmware for the router and did you set the MTU on the router to 1492 dynamic PPPoE?
