IE. Download Setting

Post by Zmoney »

Hi, i was downloading a zip earler and was kind of in a rush, anyway i checked or unchecked the box that says always do this.

Basically now every time i donwload a zip file it downloads it first then opens in a new window, it dosnt give me the option of where i want to save it or if i just want to open it. I know its a simple fix i just cant remeber and cant find the setting.

Thx!

Open up your *file* Explorer, then click TOOLS -----> FOLDER OPTIONS.

Select the FILE TYPES tab.

Go down to ZIP, highlight it, then click ADVANCED.

Put the check mark back in the box that says CONFIRM OPEN AFTER DOWNLOAD.

Done. ;)

Next:

If using Winzip, go to http://www.winzip.com/other.htm downloads page and grab the FREE Winzip browser support add on. This utility integrates with Winzip to handle zip downloads from the browser.
