New Additions

Post by lance-tek »

I would like to introduce you all to the newest additions of my farm.

I have just completed an AMD 1800+ and it's only mission will be folding.

I am just waiting to hear back from Indy for a PSU and that will finish off the PIII 733 that will be dedicated to folding as well.

So, with the two new additions right now the tally is

1 P4 2.4 GHZ
1 AMD 1800+ (1533 MHz)
1 PIII 1.0 GHz
1 Celeron 1.1 GHz
1 PIII 733 MHz
1 PIII 650 MHz
1 PIII 600 MHz
1 PIII 433 MHz
1 Celeron 533 MHz

Totals are 9 CPUs with a total Processing Power of 8982 MHz, all running the Console version.

heh, I have talked my fiancee into letting my purchase 2 more rigs. aside from the duallie AMD I am building.

By christmas I should be at least 2X as much CPU power as I am right now. We have agreed to wait till I get back from BNCOC in October before I start doing any serious buying again. So, I can just buy parts and used rigs for now for small chunks. Then when I get back I can buy the 2 new rigs.

on another note Cablenut (rkemery) will be joining us in folding for team SG. If you are a tweaker, you know of him from SG and BroadBandNuts. So, when his stats start showing be sure to give him a warm welcome. And they flame at him for taking so long to get onboard. (j/k Rick)

BTW getting a little time now to start web development again. Going to start redisigning with dreamweaver(instead of FrontPage) and using the great graphics that sitosterol has designed for me (like my AV).

If anyone could offer any help or suggestions I would greatly appreciate it.

Ah yes folding@home, the "search" for well protein interaction I suppose.

Anyway, Lance does alot of good work folding. I'm adding my 3.0Ghz P4 to the mix, and to the Speedguide team.

walked a friend through setting up the console version on a P4 2.6 GHz machine under my name last night. Should be a nice addition for my stats :p
