What is the difference between the 9800 and the pro version?

Would the 9700 Pro outperform the standard 9800, does the 9800 have different shaders/filters etc.

Im looking for a video card for a pure gaming machines, I have to build 10-12 computers so the price per card needs to be under $300.

The only difference between the 9800 pro and NP is the clock speed and the memory used. The pro uses 2.8ns Samsung and the NP uses either 3.0 or 3.3 depending on the card manufacturer. The 9800np is the best card to get for under $300.
