Depends on the situation. I have a friend who broke up with his woman a few months ago. They've started seeing each other again and are about to move to Hawaii together. Worked for them.

I moved to where I am now following an ex. She said we'd get back together if I moved to where she was, so like a fool I packed up and went after her. That lasted about a year, then had to go through all the pain and heartache and BS all over again. Look at things seriously, and ask yourself if you want to go through all these emotions again the NEXT time you guys get angry at each other.

I'd never get back with my ex, not even for casual sex, never in a million years. As maniacal and as crazy as she wasy, I'd have to be even nuttier than her to even think about ever gettin back with her. She still wants to be with me, even though we broke up almost 2 years ago. She put me through too much hurt and pain for me to even think about being with her again. Besides, my GF on her worst day, runs laps around my Ex on her best day, there's just no comparison.

i tried getting back with an x twice. two different ladies. once each.

all the promises, all the never agains, all the old feelings, they don't know your trying again.

they just lay there and soon, Bam their back.

it seems everything is ok for awhile, the makeup sex is good, but core problems it seems just

linger there beneath the surface.

i never felt comfortable after the breakups again. i guess a measure of trust was missing now,

or i had experienced a side of her i did not know existed, which i did not like, but now knew was

there.

i found myself saying things, and doing things, i normally would not feel comfortable doing, to try

to make things work out. soon i realized it was not me there, but some guy living a lie.

i moved on.

but that's just me, others it seems to work for.

for me it seems, screw me once, and you might

as well leave the planet, as you no longer exist to me. i'm not the forgive & forget type i guess.

don't know what all this means, but there you are

I just think that there was a reason for a break-up in the first place. Then that reason might still exist and if not, you'll wonder what or who she did on the break. Never have I given an ex a second chance and I'm happier for it. An ex should stay where they belong, in the past

I couldn’t agree with ya more on that one Larry. My ex made me so many empty promises in the 3 years that we were together. She would always say that she was gonna change, but in the end I realized that she would only say it to calm things down temporarily, but the mean bitch in her ALWAYS managed to pop out again. A brotha can only take so much, I tried my best to make it work, but relationships never work out if you are the only one in it that is trying to make it work.

One time I helped my brother move out of his ex's apartment and to get back at her for all of the crap she put my bro thru, I ran her toothbrush under the under rim of her toilet and then pissed on her tooth brush.
