It's a .PST file, and depending on which operating system you have, and which versions of Office you had installed prior...could be in C:\Windows, or C:\Documents and Settings\<username profile>...etc etc.

Can bring it's properties up within Outlook XP to find out which PST you're using, and where it's located. Or just do a search for *.PST and look for the one accessed most recently if you're using it.

also be sure to have your view options set to show hidden files.. Typically PST's are stored at C:\Documents & Settings\username\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook

Hi YeOldeStonecat.

Can you tell me why I cannot find this file? I'm having a similar problem and I'ld like to know where Outlook store the e-mails? Or Is it a hidden folder?

Thanks.

As I mentioned, its a hidden/protected system folder within your profile..
In a windows explorer browse window select Tools>folder options then select the View tab. Under the view tab you'll see the options for 'showing hidden files' and also while your there uncheck the 'hide protected OS files'.. That way you are sure to find just about any files on your drives. Then go back to the location I specified above and you should be able to find the file, or as YOSC said, run a new search: *.pst

good luck.. ;)
