i have a p3 700 now what are flops and why are mine so high when compared to other procs?
Processor L2 Cache CpF*
Intel Itanium 2 256 KB + 1.5 MB L3 1.3
Intel Itanium 92 KB + 2 MB L3 1.9
Alpha 21264B 8 MB 3.1
Alpha 21264A 4 MB 3.2
Intel Pentium III Xeon 2 MB 3.2
Intel Pentium III Xeon 1 MB 3.6
Intel 486DX 256 KB 21.3
VIA C3 64 KB 21.8
AMD 5x86 256 KB 30.6
This processor (average) 256 KB 32.94
Intel Itanium (x86 mode) 92 KB + 2 MB L3 38.9
AMD 386DX 256 KB 59.5
CPU Multiplier: 1.0
now it says lower is better but its higher then a 386 and 486 proc....... how can i lower this?
CPU flop

FLOPS= Floating point Operations Per Second, basically it's a test of a processors FPU or Floating Point Unit. The part of the processor involved in calculation numbers that have decimals that take longer to compute than integers. The numbers should be higher for a faster processor in general depending on the architecture not lower.
Respect it.

Yeah and it's kind of an obsolete test. http://www.webopedia.com/TERM/F/FLOPS.html
