Do you worship God???

Do you worship God??

Whats that o you say you don't. Well than I have no reason to listen to you.

O wait did I hear something....O sorry my mistake must have been someone that doesn't follow the right path.

----------------------------------------------------------------
Its not what you say, its how you say it that matters.

Anyone who won't listen to someone based on thier belife is in the wrong.

I never in the past that I can recall posted on this borad anything about the goverment. I do not vote I don't care how it's ran. So I keep out of it. But I was just browsing through some threads and I got this.

"I (along with many others) tend to not pay a hell of a lot attention to the opinions of people who don't vote."

Well that's a nice thing to say to me, Hell I never even posted a replay in this thread or aother like it and someone is already telling me to shutup.

Anyway I am done wasting my breath on people who won't listen.

So go ahead and try to rip apart my thread here.

If you had read my posts, you would have understood that I was obviously speaking in referece to politics, specifically people who are complaining about tax cuts/increases, war, inane legislation, etc.

If you somehow understood that and assumed that I ignore everything that most of this country says, simply because they don't vote or take part in political events (despite their criticisms), then you obviously didn't get my message.

God has nothing to do with this, and I fail to see the connection you are trying to make with your analogy.

Do I believe in god? Dunno really. Hard to say with all the crap that's happened to me. The hairs on my neck stand up when I enter church. Must be the fear of lightening bolts striking me. lol

I want to believe. Gee I sound like Fox Mulder. :rotfl:

I'm agnostic at best.

Stop ranting on about being ignored. If you decided not to vote, you obviously don't care how the government runs things, and so can't complain when it does somethnig you don't like. Now shut up.

Does he not vote becasue he doesnt care or that he disagrees with who is running......IMHO two totally different things: if you stop at a fast food place while on lunch and they have nothing you want to do you eat something you dont want or do you just wait....

I see jeremyboycool's point if dont vote in an election becasue i disagree with both peoples plans does that make my opinon anyless justified than someone that blindly votes democrat or republican becasue its the right thing to do......its the same thing if i dont believe in god/jesus can i talk about the christian religon even though i dont believe in christianity

I do however think that if you dont vote becasue of laziness than dont complain

edit: my bad i though this was on the topic of voting yes or no not how peoples opinoins make them less crediable...

why are you stunned? it's certainly feasible.

Reading the definition of agnostic, I think that fits me perfectly.

hey hey hey now play nice. Does not our government provide the freedom of speech and the freedom of religion. We are merely stating our views not inforcing them
Yes JCOS I did post on this one.
I am a stong believer. You don't have to believe in god to treat someone with respect thats just common courtesy. Just because someone doesn't vote doesn't mean they don't have an oppinion on whats going on in the world either. I read the news daily but I have not always voted. I don't think that means I am entitled to an oppinion.

Why is it so hard to believe?

Forget the bible...but why is it so hard to believe in a higher energy

What do you think happens to you when you die?

If you think you go into oblivion and do not exist anymore, then what is the point of life?

Energy never dies but only changes.

Why are you so surprised that there are people out there that believe in God? Isn't it sort narrow-minded/egocentric to say that YOU are stunned that OTHER people believe in God??

Science, Thats why. :) When you die you do just that, Die. There's no other way it can be. And the statement that energy never dies is false, Energy does in fact die. When a the energy of a battery dies it changes into nothing except a dead battery.

Because we all die eventually it is the way God calls us home, unfortunately most people think of death as bad, death is just another cycle and beginning of a new life.

My little brother died too, when he was 7, had leukemia. The sins of man brought death, not God. God's original plan was for eternal peace and happiness, Adam & Eve's greediness led to the death of man, why we work everyday, why we get sick, why we suffer. I don't question why my brother died, I just know that he's in a better place than I am :)

God, Jesus, Heaven, Satan and Hell are ALL MYTHS... myths perpetrated for centuries because they intellectually cripple your rationality and make you vulnerable to being DUPED by any charismatic *leader* who wants you to sacrifice yourself for whatever purpose they deem necessary.

I always seem to inflame these discussions with my opinions, but I do NOT mean to insult or degrade anyone elses opinions.
That said..

It just doesn't make sense to me - God

He supposedly 'knows everything' so when he created Adam and Eve he "knew" beforehand that they would have faults. Logically speaking he created humans in order to punish us. He "knew" that we would disobey Him before He created us.

And why does every human have to be punished for one or 2 bad apples ?

Higher intelligence, I can believe. more powerful beings than humans I can believe. But a God, not a chance. And the God portrayed in the bible, if He does exist, isn't someone I could worship anyway. I can't worship a person, or a God who creates a race in order to punish them. Nor can I worship a God who demands I worship Him before all others. What is His fear? I may find another God better than Him?

Too many faults in this God for me to worship Him, even if He does exist.

ok here we go.

bigjimslate said in one post that he doesnt listen to ppls political complaints if they dont vote.

jeremyboycool took it to mean that bigjim was sayign he ignored everything a non-voter said

jermeyboycool then made this thread replacing the topic politics one religon and expressed his opinion that he thinks bigjim is wrong.

malcolio, learn to read, jeremy said in his first post in the thread that he stays out of political debates and such, but as mentioned before he doesnt think he should be ignored on all levels of life for that, and i agree with him.
