i found that cutting acrylic with a power tool sucks.

It just heats it up, and melts it and sometimes wrecks what u intened to do. If you can run a power tool at very low speed then it will be ok.

I found that the best way (but very very long ) is to use a sharp blade, such as a stanly knife or a kitchen knife, or a glass cutting knife. and use a ruler or a round object depending on the shape, and basically score.... score... score.... score well u get the just of it.

cheers Mike

Well you could use a jig to cut through that will cold running water over the case but that's just hard.

I've used everything from my table saw to jigsaws to the dremel tool...

True you can slow the dremel tool down for a better cut. For "melting", you can also use the dremel tool to sand it with fine grit paper...or you can do it by hand.....

You can also use a coping saw

for them misc. cuts..Just take your time.

This type of saw is inexpensive..
