New stuff is here !!

Post by LT-73 »

Well hardware and overclocking fans, the wait is over. My new parts have arrived!!

Abit NF7-s Rev 1.2. It's the most beautiful thing i've ever seen! Kinda like a reddish color pcb. I took the NB cooler off to take a peek at the Nb chip and sho nuff it's the A3 !! Wahoooooo !!! Got a cool beige Abit Visor with it.

Also got some other toys as well:

Highpoint RocketRaid Card
Crystal Fontz 632 display

These are courtesy of 2 great SG'er's which will remain anonymous. Thanx guyz, you know who you are ;) :D

2 pairs of Blue cold cathodes.

I'm gonna be busy for the next few hours taking the Nebulous apart. I'll keep you guyz posted.

laterz ;)

Ok, i'm back and i'm tierd as all hell. I had to completely tear down the nebulous and rebuild it. Ran into trouble mounting the Dtek TC4 waterblock and the NB waterblock as well. Swapped out the cold cathodes and the diginurse and installed the crystal fontz 632. I gotta find out how to display the temps and stuff. All i see is a blinking box, LOL I had to redo my watercooling setup too which took alot of my time. Then it was the dreaded formatting, updating and evrything else.

The NF7 is one hell of a board. Fast as all get out. No tweaks yet. Running stock speeds. The board undervolts the vcore. Default is 1.6v, MBM reports 1.57v. The vdimm is overvolted. Default is 2.6v MBM shows 2.63v. The onboard NIC is awsome. No need for a NIC card.

Temps now at idle are 15c and case is 17c. Haven't done any benching yet. I just wanted to get the nebulous up and running for now. Tomorrow the fun starts. I'll post pics and screenies then.

I would run a little Prime95 to see if the board is 100% stable
