1700+ What do you think?

Post by extreme »

I cant stand my xp1900+ anymore. Cant overclock it at all. So i was looking around and reading the reviews for this I heard this is like the god of overclocking and just wanted some of you opinions before i get it. It will be sitting in a 8rda+. Please give me some information about what you think of it, and how much you think i will get out if it.

Thanks.

You wanna go with a nice oc, go with what Duzmor recommended, Trust us ;)

If you buy the 1700 and for a few bux more could've gotton the 2100, you'll kick yourself in the head.

XP2100 Tbred B's depending on the code will overclock 2.5Ghz or better(providing you have really good cooling). I've seen guyz with an SLK800 and smartfan II get 2.4Ghz easy.

Not bad for 93 bux eh? ;)

If your going to Overclock go with the 8RDA+ - Asus Will Overclock also - But I like the Epox - AMD OEM 30 day Warrenty and no heatsink - If your going to OverClock Big time get some good cooling - I run SLK 800 HeatSink with a 80mm Tornado Fan

LT-73 Is the Best Overclocker I Know he can Give you some good Hints -

Here is a Good Link on the Epox 8RDA+

Second

My 1700 JUIHB 0302=$50 does 2520 MHz

My 2100 AUIHB 0249=$90+ does 2607MHz
My 2100 AUIHB 0302=$96 hasn't been determined.

They are basically same 2800 chips that failed to make the cut.

The one in my sig is a 301, but it suxed royally :( had to pump 2v to get it up to 2500Mhz. Then my cube froze and almost fried my cpu. Now it's partially toast and right now i'm running 13x166=2155Mhz with 1.8v

My fiance' bought me a xp2100 Tbred B 304 from excaliburPC. It just got there now i have to wait till she overnites it to me. I've heard the 302's and the 304's clock very nicely ;) :D
