slow burner pls help

slow burner pls help

slwo bruner i have a wn2k celeron processor 800mhz 256 mbs of ram sony burner that's a 32 speed i belive maybe 24 this burner burns so slow I'm using nero is there anyway I could speed this up would more ram help it never use to be that slow aww it took me an half hour to burn a cd at 24 speed wtf

The burner and the HDD on the same IDE channel?

Were ya copying a cd? Or making one from the hard drive?

Was your recording media at 24x? Just asking since I made the mistake of putting some old 4x media in my drive once. lol

Did you check your Nero settings to verify it was setup to burn at 24x?

Lastly, is this the first time this has happened?

it's on 24 media 24 write speed no matter what speed it just lag i tried nero settings it was a cd copy added more chache to the buner just to try to something no dice when this machine had win98 on it the burner worked fine with 2k I"m going to check bios settings also I removed nero reinstall with new verison still no dice i'll chek the ide channles

retail or oem Nero...warez?

what speed is it saying in the main nero window?

have u tried the nero speed test?

Sony CRX 165A1 (no guarantee) that's is off nero webiste and whoever said I should post on the software fourm is not to bright due to the fact this prombelm couldve been hadwere untill I looked it up and made sure it wasn't software. This prombelm couldve gone either really
