I've had an IBM in this box for a year now,on 24/7 !
and never a hicup,,flawless performance,

people can have any brand hdd quit on 'em.
if you talk to 5 different people, you will get 5 different opinions,on hdd's.

look at western digital dropping from 3 year warr to 1 year!
I woke up this morning, had them Statesboro Blues.
I looked over in the corner, and Grandpa seemed to have them too.

For their standard 2 MB cache drives, yes. It's still 3 years for the Special Editions.

This is the same for maxtor as well. Since IBM is dropping out of the small market business, you'll see a lot of policy change.

IBM drives have faster access times, but that also means more noise, more wear and tear, which = shorter life.
