its a good career/life style

if i was going to join any kind of military it would prolly be the air force, as something

my best friend joined the air force, he fixes all those jets in hangers...

he didn't know where he was goin career wise, hadn't finished college and such, so he joined the airforce to pay for his eduction and it gave him direction and focus in his life, now he has goals...

so it can be a good thing for sure

I would love to be a fighter pilot.

Always have loved flying (and blowing stuff up).

But seriously, it is something I will definitely consider doing as a career later in my life.

I don't want to sit behind a computer for the rest of my life. Ya only live once...

insanely difficult to get into the program and even more difficult to actually fly.

that said, I know at least a dozen people who have gone into the services. The ONLY one that was really happy with his choice was the guy that went into the AF. LOVED IT.

I know nothing about you...are you still in high school or going to college?

To fly, you need a 4 year degree, and then it's usually best to have gone through the Academy.

Perfect uncorrected vision?

No physical problems whatsoever.............no mental problems, no social problems or felonies......the list goes on and on but don't be discouraged by all that.

If it is your dream, then you must pursue it at all costs.

There are plenty of good jobs in the Air Force outside of pilots. Now excuse me while I use your thread to show off a couple of my patches.

I woke up this morning, had them Statesboro Blues.
I looked over in the corner, and Grandpa seemed to have them too.
