Yea, what he said. If you have a LAN, do NOT vote from each machine, rendering their blocking system useless- and do NOT vote from different proxies rendering their blocking system useless. ;)

Cmon guys, we've got like 12,000 members here, but only 1300 some votes??? if we all voted one time, we'd be in the top 5 right there, and that's just for one day!! let's get involved!!

Were not down that much,
48. Overclockers Australia Articles/Reviews 1053 Vote!
49. Speed Guide Tweaking 1035 Vote!

As for the issue of spamming, I bet not one of the sites listed, is not rated on that list from any other means then SPAM.
Its such a popular site that we all found it before isn't it?

A matter of info here.

I was kinda curious yesterday. Now bear with me here.

Dosn't it seem strange that with as fast as computers are that we lost votes slowly? I mean if the web owner was using a script to check for duplicate IP votes, It should really go kinda quick. So I went to the fourm where I originally found out about that site and sent an email to one of the poster's.

Ok here's the clincher.......we all vote for SpeedGuide as (and I can't bring that site up to see the exact phrasing) Very Helpful. (or the best) That is what gives you 1 vote.

From what I understand, and I can't test it yet, guess what happens when you vote it the worst? Yep, your supposed to lose a vote.

So if this is true, that would explain the loss of only a couple of hundred instead of a thousand since there were probably at LEAST that many bogus votes.

So it seems possible that we were probably sabotaged. :(

I'll bet someone was watching to see our reaction. I'm sure he/she wasn't disappointed.

the people here on SG were spamming it, for every bad vote it drops it by one vote....

so lesson to learn here, only vote ONCE per DAY from a givin IP, don't spoof it, don't trick it, don't use a proxy, use the thing correctly :)
