Thanks guys!

Jeff....yes indeed. It is rather amazing how one Dr.s statement, can be so totally different than the next ones, contradictory reports, etc., rather nice to get a clearer picture of the truth, without having to chase down everything myself!!

Valentine...thank you so very much! I took today to gather my thoughts, reflect on the new plans now, and gather some new added strength. You are way too kind!

Debbie...I actually DID count my own blessings yesterday, while at the surgeons office. There was a lady there, who my heart broke for. Bad surgeries, burst appendix, and an entire string of events, led to herneas, more operations, severe infections that will not heal...to the point, that her intentines are literally hanging outside of her stomach. I told her to check with her Dr. about a prescription creme called Silvadene, and to research it. It is extremely expensive, but I have yet to have it fail to clear up any infection. It was prescribed to me after my cancer procedures to cure any infection I might have in my left arm, from a cut, burn, etc. She in turn, gave me some hints to help make this torture chamber of a brace a bit more comfortable.

Rivas...tis all about people supporting each other. :) I think we are in a race to see whom becomes "unstickied" first!! Hang in there!

I am counting my blessings today!! Thanks gang!

Thanks Jamie! A bit tired of this sticky mess me own self! :thumb:

Jeff...you are UNREAL!!!! Thank you ever so much. You have no idea how enlightening your work is. Bigger needle please!! :rotfl:

Just got a call from the cardiovasuclar surgeons office, who in turn is sending me yet to another cardiologist, for further heart testing, and clearance, prior to the major surgery, which I understand now...I will be in the hospital for several days after the procedure...groan! Get ready to take over Forgetful!

I so wonder, if there is anything else on Gods Green Earth, that they can find to do BEFORE surgery...besides of course the final blood testing I suppose. This is just absolutely incredible..but I think they have found...a quitter..I AM NOT! Mighty Mouse would NEVER quit! ;)

Thanks Sara :)

It appears Forgetful still gets to rest easy for a bit here. More incoming news. I am sure glad I am considered to be a top priority critical case...cheesh!!! Testing on the heart now is scheduled for November 6th..a special testing, I cannot do the treadmill, because of the legs. Then those results go to a nurse practitioner to read...on the 10th of November is my appt. with her...then they ALL go back to the cardiovascular surgeon for final evaluation, and the surgery set up..providing I even pass these!

This is going into month 5 now, since this whole thing started...and getting progressively worse of course as time passes. I wonder how long someone just in medium danger would take to treat! Pretty scary...but I am of course a captive audience. :( Did someone change the meaning of those phrases on me or what? What does top priority and critical mean today

I hope there are no further glitches. Doctors have come a long way from bleeding folks with leeches, hopefully one day the practice of milking insurance and savings will be a thing of the past too.

I made you another chop...

Misty,

Think positive, think of what your legs will look like while you're held captive during the later stages of the "rebuild"... ;)

So very appreciated...thank you Kind Sir! I saw my regular physician this morning for a follow up appt., and to have my allergy medicine changed. I have in fact found out now, that the arteries leading to my heart...and in perfect condition...so my question was...then why this new stress test, after 3 cat scans, and mri's...did NOT make sense to me. Even my Dr. said that would be enough for his clearance....however...he also feels that the surgeon may be doing specific checking on the apex of the heart, which was damaged with radiation years and years ago, plus the scar tissue in that left lung. So..iffen my leg does not fall off first!! I can deal with it...as if I had a choice!! lol! This one is done with a radioactive dye, and a heart pumper upper...cant remember the name of it...because I cannot withstand the treadmill type testing. Cheesh! Are there any left? I think not!! If they are waiting for me to quit, and give up...they chose the wrong "Mighty Mouse", and I do understand that many do just exactly that...how sad.

A teeny bit of new info on this upcoming test, which just proves these guys are totally "nuts" lol! I can not have any type of caffeine for 24 hours before this new testing...which is not scheduled until 1 p.m., on November 6th...and it is a two hour testing approximately. If they think they have seen me all lit up BEFORE they inject the radiactive dye, for the scan pictures, and then inject the chemicals to speed up my heart, much as natural hard exercise done...they are in for a surprise!! lol!! I will already BE lit up, with no caffeine in my system for that length of time. This should be fun!! Somebody pray for THEM!! :rotfl:

Hiya Scatman! Thanks for askin'! I don't mind the feeling of the dye injections, as they do warm my body up, which is a sweet treat to me at this time..its the dang TASTE of them I can't handle...ugh!! I told them once I wanted a six pack of those little vials to take home with me, just for the warmth...til I found out they use 1,000 c.c.'s on my particular testings, and they run a dollar a single cc! Ouch!!

Heating will be a problem for me at this time, as the only heat I have is a wood burner, and I can't of course now pack the larger pieces of wood...so that will take an adjustment quickly..its cold already!! Too bad we did not have a real live Lefty's Tavern here...lol!! You guys could pack the wood in, and we all could cook with the woodburner..none tastes better! :p

Threw an extra blanket on my bed last night, doubled yet...and shhhhh...don't tell Mac Doc this...but I raided his barn, and got enough sheep wool, to make a sheepskin pad to help both with comfort and warmth. :D We be hangin' in there!!

I know that had to hurt :(

But it'll grow back I'm sure.

In the meanwhile, would you consider wearing a wig like the gal's hair in post 169 (I know that's not your real color ;) ) and dress up in a similar outfit? Then perhaps I could hold you captive for a bit? That might make an interesting diversion for both of us- lol... :p I want to see those legs!

Actually, if they look like that gal's, I would want to do more than just look at them.

I titled it the Hypocritic Oath- in parody of The Hippocratic Oath... it is not supposed to be you.

Why doesn't this latest lost application surprise me?

Hiya gang!

Gearing up for Mondays big and final testing, the chemically induced heart stress test. There does seems to be quite a bit more concern over the problem area in the apex of the heart, than I first realized. Since that damage is 20 years old and never given me a flip of problem, other than a little flutter once in awhile, I was not troubled...but then...since that time, I have never had to undergo a surgery as delicate and complicated as this one either. Well...won't have too much time to worry about it now! lol! I am most nervous I believe, that this one will be the final teller...its either a go or a no go after this one....don't even wanna go into the NO go options! Then the approximate 4 day wait for the final results...arghhh!!

Got the appointment confimation call late this afternoon, refreshing the instructions prior to...I was hoping they would forget the no caffeine 24 hours before the actual testing...but ratz! They did'nt! I feel so sorry for them!

I will take this weekend for some heavy reflection time I believe...a visit with my daughter Saturday, I believe..and some fun time with a couple of pretty special girlfriends...who have been with me through every step of the way...laughed with me, cried with me, got angry with and for me..and been there for me as much as you guys have. Thank you EVER again so much!!

Hiya gang!

Thanks Lefty, Debbie, Knightmare, YeOldeStoneCat and Jeff! All your thoughts and well wishes, as well as others are so appreciated! And they must have worked!!

Made it through the testing ok, at least I got to come home :p . An interesting test to say the very very least, and quite long it appears in my particular case...now why does THAT surprise me! lol! Near three hours...however my personal thoughts are, even though I will not hear the actual final results until Thursday (which I think is cruel!), is that I came through it ok. The largest discomfort was the elephant standing on my chest for about 15 minutes...and the other critter that was standing over me, pounding my head with a hammer for the same amount of time. Cheesh!! The antidote however, relieved those symptoms within a matter of seconds...and that was greatly appreciated.

Great staff members there, very comforting, and the iv this time, I did not even feel. I wanna take him to the hospital with me! His nickname was Lucky...and I think I was too!

I will keep ya informed as quickly as I know anything..which will once again be towards the end of the week, but I really do feel we will have a go with this one...

Thanks ever so much again my fantastic support team!! :thumb:
