Everything is ready to go. Throughout my various deployments I have learned a few tricks...one of which is vacuum packing. I decided to use my Tilia Food Saver to vacuum pack all my clothes and uniforms along with all my other stuff like toothbrushes, deodorant, shampoo, toothpaste, nut creme, etc. I'd say that my duffel bags now have 30% more space for other things.
Just waiting for the word to go but who knows when that will be.
I'll keep ya in My prayers String Master, you will be missed if ya go, bust a cap in Saddams ass for me if ya get the chance!! Much Love and be safe!!!

You have my utmost respect, UOD, for going to war. When you come back, you will have a standing ovation from me and the respect of every American who can imagine what hell you will be going through.
You make us proud.
So trade that typical for something colorful, and if it's crazy live a little crazy!

We don't know much here on our end. If it was like the last time....we won't until the 11th hour. Either way, we're ready to do our job.

hehe...thanx beast.
I can tell you this...the last time we got the final call to go....it was the 14th time. I left for Saudi on Christmas Eve and arrived via a C-5 on Christmas Day. As soon as we walked off the plane in Dharan, we were met with a Alarm Red. We ran to the bunkers only to find out an hour later that Saddam simply threw on his radar and our Patriots picked it up lol. What a day that was.
uod,
THANK YOU !!!

Hey Evan, I know what it's like waiting to be called upon, but not knowing the details of the mission...when you go, keep your head down, your eyes sharp, and know that we'll have you in our thoughts

Good luck UOD! May the force be with you. Also check and see if they still sell that soda that is a mix between orange juice and 7up. I love that stuff. And the beadies too!
In all seriousness, the anxiety was the worst part for me. I remember setting on the edge of the berm that divided Iraq and Saudi, waiting to go through.
Wow, I didn't realize you might have to go. Knew you were in the military but that's about it.
It certainly makes a lot of the things we've been talking about around here more..... real. I hope you're successful in whatever you do and that you come back safe.
UOD, take care guy, and remember that you have the respect of other veterans of past wars.....Just do your job, and return home safe.... this is my prayer...May He who you believe in, take special care of you, my friend....

No I never made it to the sandbox, I was in S. Korea, Haiti, and Ft. Polk. Although I did run into a guy that looked just like me once in a mess hall somewhere, so you may have saw him!!
