2 Routers on same network.

Ok, so I have a router upstairs, connected to a cabel modem..then from that router i have another router connected downstairs, obvisiously this isnt workin, i can get the internet workin if i shut off dhcp on the downstairs router, all the computers intrernet works, but they cant see eachother on the network.

Not sure what to do so i can have net acess and network share..

We can go crazy and get fancy with various ways of utilizing the router downstairs, but your simple and easy method would be to relace the router downstairs with a switch.

I assume by "router" you mean a router/switch combination. In that case, yes, do as you suggested: Disable DHCP on the second router. Don't use the second router's WAN port; connect the uplink port of the first router to a regular port on the second one. With that setup, you're essentially bypassing the "router" portion of the second router/switch.
