Need some Linux help

Need some Linux help

Hey Paft and you other linux gurus, Can ya send me to some sites. I have about a month to get fluenent in Linux Redhat 8. I have been following around with linux for years, but like everyone else I get stuck in the gui. I need some sites with commands, just basic information. I am start next week with my linux boot camp from a local guru, its gonna be 40 hours of intesive command prompt stuff. Please send links so i can read

Yer best bet is to go to the source for RedHat: http://www.redhat.com/docs/manuals/linux/

Also, there's a great source for how-to's at: http://linuxdocs.org/

Here's the first place you should look, you actually can read it on your computer by typing "man bash"

Then again, if you drink a lot of coffee and don't have much to do you could always read these:

Bash Reference Manual

Advanced Bash-Scripting Guide

Also, IBM has got a Linux Zone that has got a lot of good articles and tips. One of them is the LPI certification 101 exam prep, Part 1: Linux fundamentals.

It is targeted towards people who want to become LPI certified, but the first exam prep covers the shell basics. Read the discription.
