Dad died at 5:25 am today.

Post by brembo »

Let the phone games begin. Its now 10:30. I have been up since 2 pm wednesday, I'm seeing things in the peripheral areas of my eyes. At 1:30 I go make arrangments, funeral wise. I think I'll take a nap now.

From my family to yours Dan......I extend my deepest sympathies.

I respect the hell out you Dan.

Danny Boy

Ah Danny boy, the pipes,
the pipes are calling
From glen to glen,
and down the mountain side

The summer's gone,
and all the flowers are falling
'Tis you, 'tis you
must go and I must bide

But come ye back
when summer's in the meadow
Or when the valley's hushed
and white with snow

And I'll be here
in sunshine or in shadow
Oh Danny boy, oh Danny boy,
I love you so

But if you come,
and all the flowers are falling
And I am dead,
as dead I may well be

You'll come and find
the place where I am lying
And kneel and say
an "Ave" there for me

And I will hear,
though soft your tread above me
And o'er my grave
will warmer sweeter be

And you will bend
and tell me that you love me
And I will sleep
in peace until you come to me

But if I live
and should you die for Ireland
Let not your dying thoughts
be just of me

But say a prayer to God
for our dearest Island
I know He'll hear
and help to set her free

And I will take your pike
and place my dearest
And strike a blow,
though weak the blow may be

Twill help the cause
to which your heart was nearest
Oh Danny Boy, Oh, Danny boy
I love you so

Dan, my heart goes out to you and your family....

A prayer...

In this time of deep and very personal sadness for you,
these prayers come in faith that G-D will make His presence gently yet powerfully felt in your life, through the comfort and peace only He can give..

Sorry to hear about your Dad :( .

sounds like you had alot of fun times with Him.

If You need to talk just pm me after 3pm as I will be on the phone most of the morning informing friends and relatives that my Aunt passed away late last evening. :(

I was her closest living relative.

Take care of yourself Dan.

I am really sorry to hear the bad news, times like these are really tough, but time heals all wounds.

Memories of him are the things that will make you smile soon enough.

*Sniffle*

damn, I'm in tears and he wasn't even my father.

Heart-sent wishes that your family and you are able to stay safe and support each other, and that everything that occurs on the following few days goes as smoothly as possible.

Take a deep breath.

Take another one.

I know you have much closer friends here then me but please don't hesitate to contact me, whether about any problems that arise or just to talk about dogs or the NC mountains.

May your father rest in peace now that all his troubles and pain are behind him.
