power goes out.. and so does my internet????

power goes out.. and so does my internet????
well the power went out earlier like around 1 over here, so im posting from my other computer, they are both hooked up to the router, i jus dont understand, my computer was on dl stuff but the other was off, when i botted mine back up it couldnt go online anym0ore but with this one i can, but it was turned off at the time of the power outage?? any ideas, could the power outage fried my NIC...

Almost endless reasons why.
Usually, files heavily in use at the time of a "rude shutdown" can get corrupted. If you were in the middle of downloading, I'd look into the NIC, and your networking components.
Check Device Manger...make sure your network adapter looks fine.
Possibly remove then add your networking components.
Check your NIC for a link light, and the other end of the cable on your router...link light.

thanx for the reply, yes i was dl at the time, i still cant sign on using my computer so im using the other computer, i have tried checking the cables, rebooting the modem, it wont let me uninstall or disable my network card, which i tihnk is weird, it doesnt say anytihng , once i disable it or uninstall it when i go to close it stays in the busy mode forever, so i odnt know what to do, ive been trying diff things for like 2 hrs, if anyone else has any ideas, please reply. thanx

Boot order?
If you're connection is dependent on a MAC address, than the order in which they boot may make a difference. depending on your provider and have things setup. I had this problem with a previous setup of mine.
What I would do is shut everything down, turn off your cable modem. then; get the cable modem up and running, then the router, then the computer you are having problems with now and then the computer thats working now.
