what was happening was that it was causing errors in internet explorer and not displaying webpages properly. it was also saying that there were errors in webpages in the status bar. I installed that zip file that was with mccoffee's reply. should that fix things then? I want to set my registry back to its default settings and take that tweak out. thanks.

I don't know much about computers though. all I know is before I installed it, I didn't back-up the registry. I installed the PH_webtweak that mccoffee put up on his reply... should that have fixed things? I need step by step instructions otherwise to fixing the problem because I don't know a whole lot. thanks.
