I don't think it will, probably has the 137gig limit. You can always get a Promise controller for $36 from newegg. You'll also gain ATA133 speed too (in theory :D )

Promise Ultra133 TX2 delivers more for your new Ultra ATA/133 drives. From Promise Technology, Inc., the leader in ATA controllers, Ultra133 TX2 supports Ultra ATA/133 drives with burst data transfers up to 133MB per second -- 33% faster than Ultra ATA/100 drives. Got a big drive? With 48-bit LBA, Ultra133 TX2 supports drives larger than 137 GB.

Hmmm....trying to think of the latest 440 mobo I know...all I can come up with is the BX-133 RAID, and the last BIOS update for that is back in 2001.

Wanna say no, but check your makers website for the latest BIOS and see if it includes larger disk support.

Twas a great chipset! I still have my Abit BH-6 running strong! Got rid of my BX-133 a while ago.

hehe i love those old 440BX mobo's.

I had a P2-400 running at 496 for 3 years. And it never suffered once from instability. It was an old Asus: P2B Rev 1.1

440BX was a GREAT chipset. fast, and stable (well, depends on the BIOS controlling it) not nearly as fast as what we have around nowadays, but compared to what else was on the market at the time...... probably my first pick for best chipset in the last 5 years, with nVidia's new ones being a close runner-up.
