Any info on I/O and Polaroid CD-RW drives?
Any info on I/O and Polaroid CD-RW drives?
Seen a few of these on sale lately. Both are internal CD-RW drives, I think the I/O brand unit was a 52x speed and the Polaroid was a 48x speed. Anyway, these were cheap (under $30 after rebates) and I wondered if these brands were any good. Any info would be appreciated.

I bought one for my daughter at Fry's for $30 right before xmas, and when I put it in,I could never get it to work with the crap software it came with,I took it back and got another Velo TDK like I have in mine and the TDK with NERO work perfect.
I would recomend NOT buying that Polaroid burner.
IMHO
I found the 48x TDK burner for $40 after rebate.
I think the TDK is a great product and I like Nero too,it seems to work perfect with the TDK.I have had a 32x TDK for about 8 months with never a hicup.
I woke up this morning, had them Statesboro Blues.
I looked over in the corner, and Grandpa seemed to have them too.
